Current hackney taxi tariff

  • Tariff 1: £3.50 for the first 0.5 mile; then 10p for every 83.5yd or uncompleted part
  • Tariff 2: £4.10 for the first 0.5 mile; then 10p for every 66.8yd or uncompleted part; applies to hires starting 23:00-07:00, all day Sunday, and specified bank/public holidays including 1-3 January and 25-27 December
  • Tariff 3 for five or more passengers: £5.60 for the first 0.5 mile; then 10p for every 52.2yd or uncompleted part
  • Waiting: first three minutes free, then 30p for each additional minute or uncompleted part
  • Extras: 20p for each passenger over one; advance/phone booking call-out maximum 50p; soiling charge £50
