Cookie policy

Last updated: 11 September 2026

This policy explains how TECSI uses cookies and similar technologies.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. They can keep a website secure, remember choices and help its owner understand how the service is used.

Cookies TECSI may use

Optional Google Analytics

Only if you choose Allow analytics, TECSI uses Google Analytics to measure visits to public pages. Google processes pseudonymous cookie identifiers, device and browser information, and pages viewed. We do not send form contents, contact details or private dashboard pages. Google advertising features and enhanced measurement are disabled.

Google Analytics uses _ga and _ga_* cookies, normally lasting up to two years. TECSI stores your analytics choices for one year in tecsi_analytics_consent and tecsi_google_analytics_consent; the optional tecsi_visitor_id cookie lasts one year. Previous consent to TECSI-only analytics does not enable Google Analytics.

Use Analytics settings in the footer to allow or refuse analytics at any time. Refusing does not prevent use of the site. Withdrawal disables future collection and removes analytics cookies, but does not erase information already collected. Browser Do Not Track requests are respected. Google may process information outside the UK; see Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites. Contact admin@tecsi.co.uk with privacy requests.

Third-party services

Following links to services such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn takes you to those providers. They may set their own cookies under their own policies. TECSI does not control those cookies.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies using your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent account sign-in or other parts of TECSI from working correctly. Where consent is legally required for optional cookies, TECSI will request it before using them.
