Current hackney taxi tariff

• Cambuslang/Rutherglen: £4.40 first 880yd; next nine 293yd units 30p each, then 20p each 264yd; waiting 30p/min; night 22:00-05:00 +£1.50; festive +1/3; >2 passengers 10p each; soiling £30
• Clydesdale — before 5 November 2026: £3.50 first mile; then 13p each 88yd; waiting 27p/min; call-out up to £10 by prior agreement; midnight-07:00 +1/3 and Scottish bank-holiday flag +50p; festive +1/2; >2 passengers 15p each; soiling £50
• East Kilbride — before 5 November 2026: £4.00 first 880yd; next six 146.7yd units 20p each, next six 295.3yd units 30p each, then 10p each 117.3yd; waiting 25p/min; stoppage 20p/min; night +80p and weekend night further +40p; festive +1/2; unused call £3.60; inter-zone +1/3; soiling £50
• Hamilton: £3.80 first 880yd; then 20p each 220yd; waiting 25p/min; stoppage 20p/min; night 22:00-05:00 +£1.30; festive +1/2; soiling £40
• Tariff detail 5: People-carrier surcharge for five or more passengers in Cambuslang/Rutherglen, East Kilbride and Hamilton must be agreed with the hirer in advance
• From 5 November 2026 — Clydesdale: First mile £4.00, then 13p per additional 88 yards or part; waiting 30p per started minute (£18/hour). The council table gives £6.60 for two miles. Night, festive, passenger, call-out and soiling provisions are set out in the linked replacement notice.
• From 5 November 2026 — East Kilbride: First 880 yards £4.30, followed by an immediate 20p increment; next six 146.7-yard units 20p each, next six 295.3-yard units 30p each, then 10p per 117.3 yards or part. Council two-mile example £7.50. Waiting 25p per started minute. The separate stoppage charge is removed; called but unused charge becomes £4.30.
• From 5 November 2026 — other zones: Council confirms Cambuslang/Rutherglen retains its existing scale. Hamilton remains on its current tariff meantime. These are separate licensing zones; use the relevant council notice for the complete terms.
