Current hackney taxi tariff

• Minimum and distance: £4.80 first half-mile; then 30p each additional 228 yards or part
• Waiting: 50p each two minutes or part
• Additional passengers: More than four passengers: normal fare plus one-third (Tariff 2), in a taxi with at least five passenger seats
• Night supplements, midnight-05:00: £2.20 Sunday-Thursday; £2.70 Friday-Saturday
• Airport and festive extras: Glasgow Airport: prevailing airport charge. Festive supplement £1.40 from midnight 24 December to midnight 26 December and midnight 31 December to midnight 2 January
• Festive fares: In those festive periods, up to four passengers: normal fare plus one-third (Tariff 2); more than four: Tariff 2 plus one-third (Tariff 3)
• Other conditions: Soiling maximum £100. Out-of-area fares must be agreed at hiring. The fixed scale replaces the July proposal; it took effect on 12 October 2026.
