Clackmannanshire taxi fares and licensing
Current verified taxi tariff, licence-fee snapshot and official licensing sources.
Licensing authority: Clackmannanshire Council
Current hackney taxi tariff
- Basic: £3.50 first 587yd; then 25p each 147yd
- Waiting: first 3 minutes free, then 40p each minute
- Tariff 2 23:00-07:00 and specified public holidays: add 33⅓%
- Tariff 3 specified Christmas/New Year periods: add 50%
- Extras — printed unit ambiguity: Cancellation up to £14 and soiling up to £120. The council page prints +0.25p for each additional passenger and luggage-compartment use; TECSI does not silently convert that to 25p. The exact extra amounts require a corrected card or clear adopted source.
- Exemptions and scope: The passenger extra excludes under-12s with an adult and the main passenger’s carer. Wheelchairs, walking aids, prams and pushchairs are exempt from the luggage charge. These listed taxi rates do not apply to private-hire vehicles. The base calculator excludes extras, waiting and percentage uplifts.
