Current linked driver information PDF, printed 27 August 2026, lists first driver application £100 plus three-year issue £265; renewal £265. Vehicle first grant £270/year and renewal £230. DBS £62, DVLA enquiry £8, training/test £115, HC knowledge test £60; medical and assessments are additional. These are published component charges, not an all-in application quote.

Tariff content checked 23 October 2026. The currently linked fare-chart DOC is readable and prints an August 2022 scale. However, the council advertised a 2026 proposal to shorten the initial distance/time allowance while retaining the starting prices. The 15 September 2026 report considers objections and makes implementation conditional on approval and completion of meter changes. The council meeting page currently exposes the agenda and report, without a final decision minute or confirmation that those changes are complete. Neither scale is presented here as confirmed current; no calculator model is enabled.

Current linked driver guide requires at least one year's driving entitlement, enhanced DBS/DVLA checks, training with communication/numeracy test, driving assessment and medical; hackney applicants additionally take road-knowledge and wheelchair tests. Overseas-residence evidence is conditional, not a blanket five-year UK-residence prohibition.
