Hackney, private-hire or dual licences run up to three years. Right-to-work evidence, identification and relevant tax checks apply. Overseas criminal evidence is requested for six continuous months abroad since age 10. DBS Update and Group 2 medical requirements apply.

Vehicle licences last 12 months. New applications require V5C in the applicant's current name/address, bill of sale, MOT and compliance check, insurance and fee. Inspections are booked with Nicks Tyres, Bentley Garage. Renew two to four weeks before expiry. Replacement-vehicle applications also require return of the old plate and window card.
