According to Companies House's announcement, ministers have shelved one element of the 2028 accounts reforms: smaller companies will not yet have to send their profit-and-loss figures to the register. The separate switch to commercial software for accounts submission remains planned for April 2028. Incorporated taxi and private-hire businesses should distinguish those two measures; this is a company-reporting announcement, not a change to sole-trader tax rules.
