Private Hire & Taxi Monthly reports that Peterborough City Council is considering a 2026–31 taxi and private-hire policy package covering older-vehicle rights, operator financial checks, vehicle age limits, hybrid categories and testing arrangements. The proposals have not yet been adopted: committee members are expected to decide whether to open a public consultation. Drivers and operators should read the source report and check the council’s consultation material before treating any proposal as a current rule.
